Yo! Sushi Meadowhall
Sushi is by far one of my favourite types of food, it’s healthy, yummy and not to forget mostly Low Fodmap. I could eat sushi every day, I wish I could. In fact, I love sushi so much that I even went to Meadowhall.
I was invited over to Yo Sushi because due to the renovations going on around Meadowhall, Yo! had to close for a few months, during its closure they had time to do some refurbishing themselves. Yo! Is in the same place as before, near the upstairs entrance to House of Fraser, but is slightly bigger than before.
They’ve been modernised, the restaurant is very clean looking and has a relaxed atmosphere. The one thing that got me was the buttons on the table to get service, I kept forgetting to switch off the light so servers would keep coming across to me, sorry again!
I brought along my mom as my plus one, because I knew she’d order all the things I’m not able to eat and it would be hilarious listening to her to describe how the food tastes, she tries to sound sophisticated and act like a culinary expert.
So mum ordered;
Spicy Seafood Udon - Mum said this was beautiful, she really enjoyed this dish and it was hilarious for me watching her struggle to pick up the noodles with her chopsticks.
uck Gyoza - Mum would have thought this would be better if it was steamed rather than fried.
Chicken Kastu Curry - This was mums favourite, she loves a curry and this was her first Katsu. She really enjoyed this, however she would not recommend leaving it to eat last, she was so full.
Dragon - Mum ordered this and I tried it, it was the bomb.com
And I had the;
Furikake Fries - Chips with some seasoning on them, I will order them again next time I go. It was so yummy!
Salmon Selection - I LOVED THIS, I got to try three of my favourite types of sushi in one dish. It was so fresh.
Beef Nigiri - I’d never had sushi with meat before, I really wasn’t what I expected, it was good, don’t get me wrong and I would order it again. It was just different.
Tuna Sashimi - I LOVE TUNA. It was fresh, it was meaty and it was raw. It’s something I had never had completely raw before. It was so yummy!
When I’m done with the low fodmap life of mine, I’m going back and I’m having that katsu and the gyoza so I can see if I agree with my mum.
