Turkey Burger Recipe
Let’s be honest, when you want a burger you're not wanting something that’s good for you and low in calories. Personally, I would really love a big double stacked cheeseburger with pulled pork and onion rings.
Unfortunately for me, I’m on a low fodmap diet and I can’t eat most things. This burger is gluten-free, low fodmap and perfect for anyone who's eating healthy. I’ve even switched out beef for turkey, I’m keeping everything as low calorie as possible.
What you’ll need;
- 500 grams of lean turkey mince
- 1 carrot
- Green of 1 spring onion
- Half a chilli
- Little gem lettuce
To start with finely chop your carrot, spring onion green and chilli (remove the seeds if you don’t like it spicy).
Then in a bowl mix all your chopped ingredients and mix with the mince, season with a little salt and pepper. This recipe made 6 burgers for us. Mould into shape and then grill for 20 minutes, flipping them occasionally.
While the burgers are cooking, separate the leaves of your lettuce and wash them.
Once the burgers are ready, place in between the lettuce, like it's a burger bun and serve.
You can switch out the turkey for beef if you’d like to and use bread instead of lettuce. I’d really recommend trying it like this, they are really yum.
