So I recently got from Paris with fellow blogger Louise, I’ve always wanted to go to Paris and I’m not going to lie I need to go back because we didn’t do a lot of my things on my to do list. We did like two things in Paris because we got lost, and then spent the rest of our time in Disneyland. I did have an amazing time, and I loved my trip but I am already thinking about returning in 2018.
We got an early flight there and got a transfer to the Disney B&B Hotel, we were super early for check in but luckily they had these huge lockers for us to put all of our things in. We then got the Disney bus to the train station and go the first train to Paris. It took around 40 minutes on the train and travelled to Châtelet, we had planned to go to the Notre-Dame Cathedral. We had a nice walk around in what we thought was the right direction, we walked passed so many lovely shops but unfortunately, it was National Workers Day so everything was closed. We kept wandering around, thinking we must be close there now as we were following a map. Then somehow we were at the Louvre.
Oops, so we definitely went the wrong way. We got some lovely photos of the architecture around there and the Louvre Pyramid, I have to admit it was a beautiful site. There was so much to take in, I would have loved to have gone in and seen the museum in its entirety, but I did enjoy what we saw. I was told by a friend that there are some arches that way that has little stores there where you can find vintage Chanel, so we had to find that. We never found that place, unfortunately, maybe next time.
Our hunger began to get the best of us so we began looking for a really French restaurant it was called Le Chant Des Voyelles and it was an experience. So we wanted to live the full French dream, we ordered cocktails (I had a Mojito, I was scared of ordering wine because France is a wine place and I didn't want to be judged ordering a rosé) and picked our starters. I had French Onion Soup and Louise had Camembert. My soup was legit the best soup ever, it had these amazing croutons and cheese, so much cheese on the top. So yum.
Then I got a little adventurous, the main came around and I love a really rare steak so I tried Steak Tartare. Yep, raw steak with gherkins. I didn’t realise it came with gherkins like minced into it and I did not like it one bit. Nope. It really wasn't what I was expecting I got it confused with carpaccio of beef. It was very cat food like, definitely not something I would order again. I would definitely check this place out if I was you it was real French food and it had such an amazing atmosphere.
I’m going to do this post in two parts because if add all the things in Disneyland you would be reading this for the next month, and I’m nowhere near interesting enough to keep your attention for that long.
